Vlaamse kampioenschappen Trampoline en Tumbling in Herentals

Dit weekend (22-23 maart 2014) organiseert gymclub Corpus Sanum Herentals de Vlaamse Kampioenschappen Trampoline en Tumbling. Deze wedstrijd vindt plaats in het Blosocentrum 'Netepark' en verzamelt de beste trampolinespringers en tumblinggymnasten uit Vlaanderen.

Gluckstein sets new difficulty record at Kalon Ludvigson Invitational

The fourth-annual Kalon Ludvigson Invitational was held this weekend in Salt Lake City with more than 1,000 competitors taking part. 2012 Olympian Steven Gluckstein of Atlantic Highland, N.J./ETA, won the men's trampoline title and set an American difficulty record of 17.3 in the process. Logan Dooley of Lake Forest, Calif./World Elite, previously held the record.

FIG Athletes’ Commission members appointed Youth Olympic Games Athlete Role Models

Jani Tanskanen (FIN), President of the FIG Athletes’ Commission, and fellow commission members Beth Tweddle (GBR), Liubou Charkashyna (BLR) and Nuno Merino (POR), who represent the Olympic Gymnastics disciplines, were appointed Athlete Role Models (ARM) for the 2nd edition of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG).

Rosie MacLennan, Jason Burnett tops at Elite Canada

In her first competition in over four months, Olympic champion Rosie MacLennan of Toronto had no trouble shaking off the rust from the long layoff, easily topping the field on Saturday in the women’s trampoline prelims at Elite Canada.

MacLennan, who won gold in her last outing at the 2013 world championships in November, led all qualifiers with a total score of 102.725 points.

Samantha Sendel of Toronto placed second with 98.115 points and Samantha Smith, also of Toronto, was third at 95.730.

Kalon Ludvigison Invitational is this weekend

The fourth-annual Kalon Ludvigson Invitational will be held today and tomorrow in Salt Lake City. The competition will include a special celebration of Ludvigson, the eight-time U.S. tumbling champion, who was injured in a training accident last fall.

Many of the United States' great gymnastics champions, including Olympic gold medalists Nastia Liukin and Dominique Moceanu, along with Chellsie Memmel, Courtney Kupets, Elise Ray and Melissa Marlowe, will be at the event to support Ludvigson and his coach and partner Justen Millerbernd.

GBR gymnasts selected for European Championships

Great Britain's team for the 2014 trampoline, tumbling and double-mini trampoline European Championships has been selected with a mix of experienced world renowned stars and exciting rising talent aiming for success in Portugal in April.

The senior women’s trampoline team - who are reigning European and World Champion’s -  sees British Champion Bryony Page, 2012 Olympian Kat Driscoll and 2012 European bronze medallist Laura Gallagher joined by first year senior Pamela Clark, while Luke Strong is the sole senior British male competitor fresh from hugely impressive performances in recent trials.

Nominierungen für Trampolin-EM

In Folge der zweiten EM-Qualifikation am 08. März sind stehen seit Dienstag (11. März) die Trampolinturner des DTB-Teams fest, die für die kommenden kontinentalen Titelkämpfe nominiert worden sind.

Für die Europameisterschaften vom 07. bis 13. April in Guimaraes (POR) hat der DTB-Lenkungsstab Jessica Simon (MTV Bad Kreuznach) und Leonie Adam (MTV Stuttgart) nominiert, sowie bei den Männern Daniel Schmidt (Bramfelder SV-HH), Christopher Schüpferling (Frankfurt Flyers), Martin Gromowski (MTV Bad Kreuznach) und Immanuel Kober (MTV Stuttgart).

Trampoline turns 50

On 4 March 1964, the International Trampoline Federation (FIT) was born, in Frankfurt on Main (GER). The delegates present elected its President, the Swiss René Schaerer and laid the foundations for the first Trampoline World championships, which would take place on 21 March of the same year at the Royal Albert Hall in London (GBR).

Für die deutschen Trampolinturner stand am vergangenen Samstag (01.03.2014) mit der „Saar Trophy“ die erste von zwei Qualifikationen für die Europameisterschaften an. Mit Christopher Schüpferling wusste jedoch lediglich ein Athlet zu überzeugen.

Spokane, Wash., is selected to host T&T's Elite Challenge

The 2014 Elite Challenge and Levels 5-7 National Championships for trampoline and tumbling will be held at the Spokane (Wash.) Convention Center June 12-15. More than 1,100 athletes are expected to compete in men’s and women’s trampoline, tumbling, synchronized trampoline and double mini-trampoline at the four-day event.
