Trampolin-Nachwuchs in Mannheim

Vom 30.

The pair made the announcement at MK Springers, a gymnastics club in Milton Keynes that has been transformed by investment from Inspired Facilities. The club used a £50,000 lottery award to create a modern grassroots gymnastics facility at a former warehouse, and is one of many gymnastics centres that have benefited from the Inspired Facility programme.
Kat Driscoll said: “It’s fantastic to see so many local sports facilities, including lots of gymnastics clubs, benefitting from this lottery investment, with even more set to benefit in the future. Good facilities are really important to grassroots sport as they are the places where you can discover just how fun sport can be.”

Parker & Driscoll crowned World Games synchro champions

BQhVtsrCAAAZnosGBR have finished their best ever World Games with another gold medal in the women’s synchronised trampolining.
Amanda Parker & Kat Driscoll qualified for the women’s synchronised trampoline final with 84.100 in 3rd place but the final could have gone one of two ways. China set the tone but after a very clean voluntary GBR topped the rankings with Canada having already performed but Russia to still come.  Russia faltered and the gold was all but GBR’s for the take home with Ukraine to conclude the proceedings.  Ukraine’s threat did not come to fruition but an adjustment of score saw China equal Kath and Amanda for the gold.

In the double mini trampoline, both Nicole Short and Peter Cracknell qualified to their respective finals with style and ease, 3rd for Nicole and 6th for Pete. In the final Nicole finished with a credible 5th place and Pete unfortunately slid to 8th.

USA Gymnastics selects two clubs for second phase of trampoline development program

USA Gymnastics has selected California Sports Center in San Jose, Calif., and Suncoast Gymnastics Academy in Odessa, Fla., to become Trampoline Development Centers through the second phase of the program designed to develop trampoline and tumbling in the United States. The initiative's goal is to incorporate competitive trampoline into the curriculum in gyms across the nation to expand its Olympic pipeline.
"We have great confidence in these two clubs and their commitment to building trampoline programs," said Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics. "Mills Gymnastics USA and the Wendy Hilliard Foundation participated in the initial phase, and we are discovering that developing our Olympic pipeline in trampoline is proving to be a win for the club and a win for the discipline."
Mills Gymnastics USA in Southgate, Mich., and the Wendy Hilliard Foundation in New York City were the first clubs to become Trampoline Development Centers. Both successfully hosted training sessions for coaches, athletes and officials, selected a club trampoline team, and staged a local trampoline competition to complete the training program and earn the Trampoline Development Center designation.
"California Sports Center is excited to continue our development of new programs and hope that over the next several years, with support from USA Gymnastics, we fully develop a high level competitive trampoline program," said Dave Peterson, director of California Sports Center. "We are very excited about this opportunity and are thrilled to have been selected. With this in mind we look forward to improved coaches training, adding new equipment, and reinvesting in our facilities to meet the needs of increased participation in trampoline."
