Valereis Geldenhuys-Venter (NAM) has been unanimously re-elected President of Namibian Gymnastics Federation on June 04, at Klippenberg Country Club, Karibib (NAM). This former FIG Council Member will be assisted by Yolandi Botes, who is based in Swakopmund, as Secretary General.This election, which took place at an Extraordinary General Assembly, will allow a new start of the activities of the Federation. The new elected staff will also receive more government support, NGF is realy investing in development and establishing a long term calendar till 2015.
The Namibian Gymnastics Federation will also be hosting the Zone III African Championships ( also known in the South as the Zone VI Confederation) will host the Zone VI Championships from the 3-11th Dec 2011, in Walvis Bay for Men’s and Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline and Tumbling and Aerobic Gymnastics.
