Shaking off the effects of a crash landing about a week ago in training, Olympic champion Rosie MacLennan of Toronto led Canada to the women’s team final in Thursday’s qualification round at the world trampoline and tumbling championships. China was the top country with 304.460 points followed by Great Britain in second with a score of 299.335 and Canada in third at 298.480.
Despite two sore knees MacLennan soared to second place in a field of 60 competitors, with teammates Samantha Sendel and Samantha Smith, both of Toronto, sixth and 17th respectively.
