The 9th World Games in Cali, Colombia is the largest multi-sport event in 2013.The World Games provide a unique setting for thousands of athletes from different sports and countries to join in a celebration of unity and friendship.
Many people call the Games "The Olympics for the non-Olympic sports/disciplines”. The Games are held quadrennially in the years following the Olympic Games but this is the first time that they will take place in South America. Athletes from 38 sports will compete over 11 days in Colombia’s third largest city, Cali, which hosts the multi-sport Games together with two other municipalities in the Cauca Valley, in western Colombia.
