"I remember my first day of trampoline practice like it was yesterday. I climbed on top of the four-foot high apparatus and was terrified. I kept my eyes on my coach Mr. Dmitri, who was at the far end of the end-deck mat telling me to push. Even though I was nervous and uncertain about the trampoline, I still felt so excited to be on there. As soon as I got off, I couldn’t wait to get back up and do it again!
The year 2000, while living in Lafayette, Louisiana, I began competing in trampoline. From my first national championships it became a dream of mine to compete in the Olympic Games someday."
